What's the difference between an additional insured and an additional interest?

Modified on Thu, 30 Jan at 6:37 PM

An additional insured is a named person added to the policy, who resides at the same residence, and receives the same coverage benefits as the primary named insured.

An additional interest is a person or entity who has insurable interest in the property and can receive updates about the status of the policy. This is typically the landlord or property owner.
